Rain damaged famous Nazca lines.

The formations in the desert landscape between südperuanischen Nazca and Palpa in 1994 was the list of UNESCO World Heritage site recorded. They consist of land and up to ten kilometers of lines and present, up to 300 meters long depictions of plants and animals.

Archaeologists had already warned that rain could threaten the lines. It was but the first time, said Olaechea that this happened.
